The onboarding of the Philips Hue Sync Box itself, including paring to the Hue ecosystem and the daily control and customization of the light effects is all done in a dedicated app in order to make it as easy and quick as possible. The initial entertainment onboarding including the creation of an entertainment area is still done in the Philips Hue main app. Why is there a dedicated app to control the device?
